1. Start by placing the cover over the lower platen pad and securing it with the rope. Next, install the bottom board handle.
2. Adjust the pressure to a suitable starting point.
3. Power on the heat press and set your desired temperature and time settings.
4. Your heat press is now ready for operation.

When it comes to checking the temperature on your heat press, it can be a bit more complicated than simply using an infrared gun. While this method is commonly used, it may not always provide accurate results due to factors such as angles, distance, and reflections. Additionally, surface temperature readings can vary when the platen is heating up.

For more precise temperature readings, follow these steps:

1. Set your heat press to a specific temperature, such as 350°F, and allow it to stabilize for 5-10 minutes.
2. Press with medium pressure for about 60 seconds, then quickly check the temperature at multiple points across the platen.
3. Repeat this process to get an average temperature reading.

Please keep in mind that the temperature may fluctuate slightly while the heat press is in operation, which is normal as heat transfers to the garment.
